During pregnancy, your digestive system is a bit slowed down. That is because the hormones of pregnancy relax the sphincters between the stomach and the esophagus, which may cause indigestion. With that you will feel your stomach hurts every time you eat.The pressure on your abdomen caused by pregnancy may also cause discomfort and gastric reflux as well. It will also result to a very unpleasant feeling.

Keeping something in your stomach is the best way to prevent it. Eat small frequent meals instead of a few large ones. Cut down on concentrated sugars and fats and stick to complex carbohydrates such as breads, pasta, rice, whole bran and cereals. Avoid gas-forming foods like peanuts, sweet potato, etc. Avoid foods that are high in acid such as citrus, especially before bed or before rushing off to work. Should you feel you need a medication to relieve this, then you have to see yuor doctor. Take care!♥

How pregnant are you? If this is related to your uterus' positioning, in about the third trimester, this is a common complaint that women have. The baby is pushing up on your stomach, so that you will be uncomfortable after meals (eat 6 small meals a day instead of 3 larger ones). Also, this pressure causes gastric reflux...there is medication for this, but that depends upon how your Doctor feels about it. Never lay down right after you eat...this also causes the same reflux. Take care!

My question is, 'what are you eating?' The next question is," How much are you eating?' Keep in mind that you must have seriously restricted space for food if you are carrying a child. Then to if what you eat is slow or difficult to digest, that coupled with added pressure on the stomach and intestines could be a recipe for pain.
All animal products, milk, meat and cheese...will slow down digestion. If you were to eat fruit, grains and vegetables during your pregnancy and not eat any greasy prepakaged snacks, not drink sodas or anything with alcohol in it you would be spared much pain. A vegetarian diet is essential for good health. What you eat comes out generally within 24 hours. If you throw in a hamberger it can slow it down to days with obvious consequences. i've heard that if your pregnant and your eating and then all of a sudden your stomach starts to hurt it means the baby is full and you need to stop eating... even if you have barely eaten anything.

Sometimes with the onset of hormonal changes will also come the creation of certain eating conditions, such as heartburn or acid indigestion. You could also be not eating enough at frequent intervals a day to support your little one.

Talk to your OB-GYN about it. Could be nothing but don't take chances with your baby. Give him a quick call in the morning and he will probably be able to see you pretty quick.... good luck.
