My husband and I have a big party next weekend, and no costumes. Does anyone have any suggestions for a couple theme that is fairly inexpensive? Thank you for your help.

I had these friends who did star trek costumes. They are super simple, and fun. Just watch the reruns, and get some wing pins. Don't forget those funny glasses!

If you have old, wore out clothes (work clothes, I guess, for around your home...holes, rips, tears, stains, etc.) you could both go as hobos, or even zombies. For either all you would need is some face paint and those old clothes most people keep around to do all the dirty work in. Another idea is to dress up in your most formal attire and go as duke and duchess. If you want to spend a little money, try an 'opposites attract' theme, and you go as a devil and him go as an angel, or you could be a cat and him a dog... the costumes are out there, it just depends on how much you want to spend, and how much time you have to get dressed before the party. Go as Romans - with togas. Just get a bedsheet for each of you, fold it in 1/2, drape it around your body - actually use large safety pins (inside) to close the top over each arm.
Put a cord belt tied with the ends loose around it. Add a leaf circlet on your head & voila - a no-charge costume.
I would check out pictures on togas in the internet to see what they look like. The beauty of those costumes is that they are very easy to make, cost nothing, and can be put back into your linen closet by removing the safety pins. A win win situation.

Switch genders for the night .. dress up as a man and have him dress up as a woman that could be funny and not too expensive lol or just go down to walmart and get some cheap costumes they have some there that are cute and ok in price

go get some fangs and both dress in really nice cloths and be vampires you can look pretty too
