As often as I can because it totally annihilates misunderstands, misinterpretations, presumptions and assumptions. Saying what is on your mind requires boldness, courage, and a strong sense of self which should not be confused with the word arro gance.

The art of saying what is on your mind also involves wisdom--in other words knowing when you should express your feelings and when you should not. By this I mean---weigh the costs. I always ask myself will speaking what's on my mind help or hurt the situation? Will I gain anything from my honesty such as clarity, respect from the other person, stopping unwanted attention (telling a guy that I'm not interested), or telling my mate that a certain behavior of his is very hurtful, etc...

If there is nothing "positive" to be gained by not only myself or the other individual(s)---I remain silent. If the individual you are communicating with is not poised to receive what you have to say--then while you may have spoken what was on your mind--it did not change the situation. In this case---wait. He/she may be able to receive what you have to say later.

Yes and No. I believe there is a time and place for our personal thoughts to be voiced. I say what is on my mind most of the time out of frustration. However I know my role and how to play my part. I also understand that what we say can be the difference between life and death both spiritually and emotionally. Keep this in mind, we have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason. Listen 2 times as much as you speak.

Yes I do.....maybe too much as my kids say hey mom you're too open...but there are just times you have to keep it to yourself...people seem to like to mess with me probably because I am that way...I find that especially young people come to me to ask for advice and I take that as a big compliment. I am a psych. major and that is what I want the most is to work with young adults and troubled teens....anyways as you can see I do say what is on my mind! LOLOL p.s. it is much healthier to be that way...because keeping it inside is too stressful and causes too much negative energy...so just let it out.

Do not feel dead inside because someone is distant or repressed. If i said what was on my mind all the time..I'd never shut up......So..weather is gettin' chilly, Leaves are falling, Holy smoothies, gotta buy some fruit, How bout that Green Bay interception? Truck needs an oil change, Dog needs fresh water, Come on....SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only when I'm goaded, otherwise it's a waste of my breath literally.
Depends on the person & situation though, like I don't want to get into trouble or offend the other person so some things are just better left unsaid.
Also it could work against you.
I blame it on my nonchalant type attitude, I'm just not aggressive enough, I guess.

nope. there is no point in it. people will do what they want no matter what is said or the consquences. this is because most people have no manners. politeness is history. so when i am stressed out i go fishing or hiking. something away from the city and everyone.
