i own a repair shop,and it should pull a boat pretty easy ,as long as it not the size of a yacht,they wasn't made to pull a lot of weight ,is not try to pull over a few thousand pounds with it,you can check the owners manual and it will have a weight guide in there for the vehicle,id go by it i have seen them pull a lot of weight ,but its not good for the transmissions in them,check the owners manual and see,good luck i hope this help,s.

5.7L? if just a regular sized bass boat then your good to go. anything bigger than something like a wake boarding boat would be pushin it.
