Succeeded in your attempt to fail, but there's no way of knowing if you actually did fail or not. Suppose I tried to fail a test on purpose and I marked every answer that I was sure couldn't be right . . . and then the test comes back passing . . . it could go either way, mostly the wrong way, but there's still a chance of the outcome being good.
