I just moved and my apartment is ground floor with the walkway to enter the building passing right by my windows. The windows all came with mini blinds pre installed- but which way of closing them gives the most privacy. Down- meaning that the part of the blinds facing you is down- with the arch towards you, or Up- meaning the feet of the arch of the blinds is towards you. I can't seem to figure out which is better? Any personal opinions?

I would say up...It seems to have the most privacy...
Did you know that your blinds are turned up for summer and down for winter, for the heat and cold of it? That's why we have up or down turning blinds...

if peepers will be looking up at the window you want the inside edge pointed down otherwise they will have a direct line of sight because their angle of view will be straight with the vanes. even if you are on the ground floor this would make them lay on the ground to see very far in the house. I suggest you wait until dark turn on inside lights and walk outside to look at both directions.

The blinds are designed to close downward. Tightly closed, this offers the most privacy.

You turn your blinds to the right. This will close up your blinds.

Up, then light is reflected back into your apartment instead of out.
