Just tonight, as I was driving home from work, when I put on my right blinker, the light comes on, and the right-facing arrow lights on my dash panel, but neither the front light, back light, or my dash light blink. They still illuminate, and I suppose if I teetered my switch on and off repeatedly when making a right turn, it would seem to blink. It happened just tonight; and on a drive. When the trip started, my right blinker worked. What happened? What broke? Can I buy a replacement at my local Advance Autoparts?
(Think it had anything to do with the rain on the drive?)

It's a proven fact that a turn signal bulb has only so many blinks in it before it burns out. So, when it runs out of those blinks, the electrical system knows it and gives you one of two warning signals: The dash light comes on and doesn't blink, giving you a steady light, or it blinks really fast. Either way, the cheapest and most likely cause is that you burned out a bulb in the front or the back. The next cheapest cause is a flasher unit, but if that was fried, you would have no blinkers left OR right. The third, and probably least likely cause is that your electrical system got wet in the rain and it's shorting out. Try the bulb first.

Does it blink to the other side?
Usually if the light comes on & stays on, it is because enough current is not being pulled to heat the blinker unit.
You may have a clearence light or some other bulb in that side burned out.
If ALL bulbs are not present, it will stay solid.
Look at every bulb on the other side when it blinks, which one is missing on the side that doesn't blink?

HAHAHAHA warning signs. Oh boy, anyways 99.9% of the time with this problem it's the bulb. Then the wiring (since it's only one side) not the flasher. Oh I am certified, and have been doing this for 14 years.

this sounds like you need thr replace the turn signal relay (box) unit found near the fuses, this might be stuck. A tap of a driver handlw might free it, or a spray of WD40 or somthing.

Burned out bulb...most bulbs have more than one filament in them for their different functions....especially the rear...and if on breaks....they may appear to work....change one or both bulbs...but mostley the rear.

I doubt if the rain had anything to do with it. I would check the relay, fuse, and bulb(s), in that order.
