I think fashion is personal. You need to look for clothing and accessories that look good on your body type and more so things that you like. Colors that look good on you can be in a scarf, belt, hat. accessorize with jewelry and things that you like together with clothes that they either match or if you like it, more like Cindy Lauper....far out. Today it's really everyone doing their own thing and you can be fashionable without looking like everyone else. that's what i think. Look at magazines and see what appeals to you. go to the thrift shops and buy pieces that no one else will have or be able to buy. You will be looking good. Hair is another thing, look at someone that has a face that's shaped like yours and has texture like yours and have a new cut done. That always helps you look better. Good luck.

First of all you need to understand a few things about yourself.
What image would you like to portray, what is your current lifestyle, are you a student, what do you do the most, school, work, church, business, sports etc.
Where ever you spend most of your time that is where most of your budget should be spent.
What is your image goal
What is your natural style?
What colors look best on you (reflect on when you get the most compliments)
What is your body style..this is the primary factor that will determine styles that flatter your figure and minimize your flaws.
Decide if you want to classic looks that need minimal updating, trendy items that will have a limited appeal or fads that are only around for a season or two at the most. There is much more to consider, I would be happy to give you a free thirty minute consultation.

Study fashion in magazines, that are age appropriate to you. Go shopping for like items, they don't have to be expensive. Right now it is easy and simply to be fashionable. Jeans are straight legged, black leggings are hot and cost about 12.00 or less and can be worn under a tunic, long sweater, coat, long blouse or dress. Invest in boots or platforms. Go to a make up counter seasonally and have a make over. Out dated make up, really dates a person.

fashion comes and goes. dress like you want to, and forget what others wear. fashion is a state of mind. if you feel fashionable, radiate confidence and dont look like a clown jester, most likely what you wear will look great, and others will copy

Take risks... Don't shy away from clothes you haven't seen others wear before. (If it's sold in stores, many people will be wearing it in two weeks.) Most importantly, wear whatever you put on CONFIDENTLY. Your attitude should tell people you are proud of what you have chosen. Lastly, don't try to wear clothes that don't fit your body type...just be honest with yourself when you look in the mirror.

Just bang your style honey. Do NOT do what everybody else does...do something different. It comes with finding yourself.
