Depends on what girls you know. Girls are usually more social and talk and do more things that involve getting up and doing something whereas guys think it's fine to hang out, play video games and talk. But there are girls that play video games. You just have to look for some!

Are you kidding me? That's a stereotype. I'm a female, and I play games all the time. I even have a subscription to PC Gamer. I've been playing games since I first picked up an Atari 2600. I went to E3 twice.

And no, I don't just play "girl games" like The Sims 2. I'm currently playing Oblivion and Guild Wars, and I also like games like Civ IV, Starcraft, and Warcraft 3. Back in the day I played The Legend of Zelda and all the Super Mario spinoffs.

Not a girl anymore but still female and I love video games. I took a vacation when I got final fantasy 1 so that I could play, and that was a long time ago. Have an x-box ps2 and accounts on a lot of web sites that have games....

I LOVE video games. *A lot of video games really aren't marketed towards girls though.*

I am a big fan of many genres of video games. I love rhythm games, rpg's and tactics, platformers, survival horror, anything w/ zombies, etc... soooo, we girls do like games, we're just hard to come by!

P.S. I think that a lot of girls would rather spend their money on their appearance b/c although people would like to say otherwise-looks do matter sometimes. I spend a lot of money on games but still make sure I look good.

It's not that girls don't like video games. There are many that do. I have women in my family that love them. But it's probably because of the violence, not into cars and the racing stuff, and/or how they portreit (not sure how to spell it) women. It could be for a lot more reasons, like the storylines and such.

Personally, I love video games. Specially the violent and RPG ones, just cause they're fun and tend to have good plots to even things out.
Though that may just be because I'm a nerd.

But I think most girls don't like 'em cause we've been taught that video games are boy things and that they're stupid and mind numbing.

Many girls do, it depends on the game and the persons personality.For example: My gf likes games that make you think, so she plays strategy games

hmm

some don't like the scary gross type games
(the one were u see realistic or bloody body part, i kinda forget the term for that)

they mostly like the cute ones

some may be just busy body for it

some are just shy to play (i think)

some cant because of other people (they aren't allowed, strict parents or others)
