My partners dad is a twin (the other died at birth). So i hear alot of people say it skips a generation but is it more likely for his siter who is over a year older then him to have twins or is there a 50/50 per cent chance it could happen to any of them meaning her or him. There is just the 2 of them no more siblings. And is there a better chance cause i have twins and triples down the line in both my mum and fathers families but is not the generation before its further back down the line?

The key players in someone having twins are luck and age. I was lucky and I was 30 years old when mine were conceived. All that mess about it skipping a generation and crap is just that....crap. Some books I read even said the moon at the time of conception plays a role in muliples. Anyway, I hope you will be fortunate enough to have twins.

I am the 7th straight generation of female twins on my father's side of the family - but no twin mothered a twin. My younger sister had a set of twin boys, but 1 miscarried. I would say you have a very good chance of having twins.

I wish I would have had twins - I would have really liked to see the dynamic as they grow together.

Peace!

I was a twin at birth (other died also). My sister gave birth to twin boys 2.5 months ago... natural occurrence. I also know another family that has twins every generation in their family on the female side but they are not identical.

My grandmother was a twin, she had two sons that fathered twins and now my brother's daughter and my sister's son has twins. But none of the twins had twins.

I don't really know.

I have two sets of twin cousins. Well, they're all my second cousins, but one of the set's mother and the other's father are brother and sister. And none of their grandparents were twins.

No idea. Sorry.

The twins trait is carried down by the mother.....so it would be his mother or your mother that would have an influence...or so I have heard in school....
