well i noguht the compressor i installed it pefrectly and everythign then i went to put air in the tire (it was low) i turned my car off when i put air in the tire and after that i tried turning the car on and all i heard was a click it wasnt the battery becuase we tried jumping it and the battery was good but we noticed wthe click was coming from the lil sillanoid (sp) and is it just that or wat

The click means the solenoid is working. Your starter may be bad or it could be a loose or corroded wire between the solenoid and starter.

Keeping your fingers and everything clear tap on your starter with a hammer while someone turns the key. If it starts the starter is the problem.

starter solenoid is probably bad . but I think it's part of the starter so you'll have to change the whole thing

My first thought is, either a bad connection somewhere or worn out bushings in your starter.
