We are traveling across the south and we will be stopping some where near Cookeville. We had a very bad experience at a well know motel in North Little Rock Ark. There were holes in the sheets. The carpet was not clean, and there continental breakfast was a joke.

We are looking for a reasonable rate for two people.

We stayed at the Star Motor Inn that has a big sign from the I-40 Exit 286 that stated "American owned and operated. They also accept pets and free wireless Internet connection. Their rates were very reasonable and the room was clean. Nothing fancy but the front office personnel were very friendly and helpful with directions for our next stop. 1-800-842-1685

Off the main road that goes through the town (I can't remember what it's name is) there is a hotel that overlooks I-40. It is on the East bound side of I-40 on the right hand side of the street if you are going South. I think it may be a Comfort Suites. It was very clean and had a good Continential breakfast. It was within the budget that the company I worked for allocated, so it should be reasonable.

I had a bad experience at the clarion inn on Jefferson avenue. I had checked out and remembered that I had left my Dell laptop computer in it's case on one of the beds we were about a mile away when I had remembered that I didn't get the laptop and when I returned to get it the people who cleaned the room were already in there and I told one of the maids what I had done, well she sent me to the front desk and when I went there and repeated myself he told me that his help wouldn't take anything and I had not accused anyone of taking it I just wanted to get my laptop and leave. Well to make a long storie short I had to leave without it. Not only did my stay cost over a $100 but my Dell laptop. So any place would be better than the Carion Inn.

There are a lot of choices. Here's a site that has them all listed and has info on each and feedback from people who've stayed there
