why cant rock radio have more depth, i hear the same songs over and over again.?

great bands such as floyd,zep,ac/dc are only being offered as top forty crap...no trower, no tommy bolin, no deeper cuts in album oriented rock, even satellite stations suck. im stuck at work listening to this crap...id rather listen how george bush is screwing the pooch in iraq....at home its cd or reel to reel...com'on rock me or does republican radio have a grasp on my radio and balls....fundamental christian rock censors...be more concerned how your raising your kids to be freaks instead of what i listen to.

I've subscribed to Yahoo Music Unlimited and I've never been happier! Lots of different stations and the ability to customize your own station to play EXACTLY what YOU want to hear. Sure, it's $5 and change per month, but that's well worth it compared to having to listen to the same crap over and over like regular radio. I think there's a one week free trail so you've nothing to lose. It's changed the way I listen to music forever. Oh, and this is not spam, it's just a music fan who's finally found audio heaven.

They gotta keep the ratings up to stay in business. There are apparently a lot of people out there that just want to hear the most popular songs of the time.They don't know what they are missing, but there must be a bunch of them.Probably the same people that only wear the newest fashions etc.

you are SO right on this one. i am a tremendous fan of the aforementioned classic rockers, eg, zep and floyd. but i do also dig the lesser-played werx of robin trower et al.

in my book, it all has to do with who pays the pickleman.

its the same with all radio, they just play they couple songs that are hot at the time with a couple of classics everynow and then, it sucks, thats why i stopped listenin to radio
