Clive Staples Lewis was born in Belfast, Ireland (now in Northern Ireland) to Albert James Lewis, a solicitor, and Flora Augusta Hamilton Lewis on November 29, 1898. He had one older brother, Warren Hamilton Lewis (Warnie).

John F. Kennedy, Aldous Huxley, and C.S. Lewis all died on the same day on November 22, 1963.

I did not know he was born in Ireland....corollary: was he Irish? Or were his parents another nationality living in Ireland? I've heard him speak (on tape) and didn't think he sounded Irish...sounded more English.
