Almost Heaven, West Virginia [Country Roads Take Me Home]
My parents are both from West Virginia. [and, NO, they were not related prior to being married!!!] We visited WV every year to see the cousins, grandparents, etc. One year while we were there we saw a sweatshirt that said "West Virginia Mountain Momma". We talked my Dad into buying it for my Mom. She beamed and she wore that sweatshirt 'til the last thread gave out!! Thanks for the memory, I hadn't thought about that in a long time. My parents both live in Heaven now.

Rocky Mountain High is my favorite song, period. I have been to the Colorado mountains and know what he was talking about in the song. If you have ever been there and seen a meteor shower, you know the fire he's talking about. It is the most amazing sight I have even seen in my life. It was like you could actually reach up and grab one of the meteors. What a rush!

"Country Roads"... take me home to the place I belong... well, not West Virginia. It reminds me of the small town I grew up in.... Frostproof, Florida.

Annie's Song.

It is sort of cliche, but it is such a great love song. Best ever.
