Drunk drivers know the risk before the take the first drink ,and if they cause a death or even harm another living sole they should be held accountable for their actions, being drunk is not an excuse it's stupidity on there part .I say they should be charged with murder, but I'll be honest I don't want to have to pay the damn taxes that keep them in prison either ,they don't deserve to be treated like they are the victim ,they committed murder the should get the death penalty immediately.................

I was in the organization MADD several years ago. I believe that a person who is going to drink should have a plan, not to be driving a car after they are drunk. We had a cousin who was married and had four little children. A Drunk driver came across the median in broad daylight and hit their van head on. My cousin was killed along with three of his children.

They do charge some drivers with vehicular homicide, which is about the same as murder with no forethought, 2nd or 3rd degree, I suppose. Just knowing that you might harm or kill is not the same as setting out to actually kill with forethought. I'm not condoning drunk driving at all - it is the most irresponsible thing a person could do - I'm just trying to put it into perspective for you.

Yeah, my chum's brother (who became 17) and his 3 acquaintances. It occurred in 2005. They have been skateboarding around the line and all 4 of them have been given hit and killed via a vehicle. The inebriated motive force? a fifteen 365 days previous lady, who did no longer even have her enable, who had broken into her father's liquor cabinet. How adverse is that? She became going like fifty 5 MPH in a 20 MPH zone. in line with risk it incredibly is merely me, even nonetheless it form of feels like the inebriated motive force is often the survivor. watching the way you look at it, that could be the worst because you may stay with the certainty which you killed human beings, in all probability your friends which you have been utilising with.

2 differant drunk drivers killed my niece. One hit her car and another one hit her when she got out to look at the damage. If a drunk driver killed my daughter he wouldn't have to worry about facing a murder charge- I would. Jail is too good for them. they should be hung by their testicles (or whatever) until dead.

Yes. He knew he was endangering lives when he got drunk w/o a plan for a safe ride home.

Besides, charged and convicted are two different things.

They should Be charged with murder because you're still responsible for your actions even though you're drunk. Without a doubt, people should be held accountable for their actions.
