I don't believe that there is necessarily just one. I've been truly in love 3 different times, and it was really love--given different circumstances, I could have married any of them. I'm still with "the third" and we intend to marry. I love him very much.

He was tall and young and blond, as beautiful as a Greek god. He was twenty-one and I was thirty-one, but we clicked. He was kind and smart and wonderful. We enjoyed each others company so much and spent a lot of time together in the two years before we went our separate ways. I never saw him again, but I dream of him still.

Was someone who put on an act and pretended to love me for 4 years. He ran off with his best friend and married her when he pretended to me he couldn't stand her. Then had the balls to phone me on Valentine's day with her on the other line to tell me they got engaged and invite me to the wedding. Can you believe the nerve?

I'm only in my teens and only experienced love once......but if all the love in my lifeis like the one i just went through then i want to stay away from it.....real far.......people who find love should hold on to it.But let go before it burns you
