Okay..I have to classify Holidays and then I have to write an essay on it but I dont know how I would Classify Holidays. Where do I start? I was going to do Christmas,Easter and Halloween and then talk about 3 diffrent countries that celebrate that and how they celebrate it. Would that be considered by Classifying Holidays? if not,then how would I do it? PLEASE HELP ME!! Im so confused.

Religious: Easter, Christmas.... (don't forget other religions)

Political: Independence Day...

Social: New Years Day

Historical: April Fool's (In the old calendar April 1st was the first day of the new year, and you were an April Fool if you still thought this was the case, years after the change)

Sporting: Melbourne Cup (Victoria, Australia)

Economic: Labour Day/8 Hour Day

International: ANZAC Day

National...

Cultural...

There are a number or ways to classify holidays. You could classify them as religious or nonreligious. You could classify them as being summer or winter holidays. You could classify them by colors they are associated with.
For example, Chirstmas and Easter have strong religious ties. Independence day and April Fool's do not.
