You can chart your temperature through your cycle to see when you're most fertile, you can check the position of your cervix, if you know your cycle length, when you ovulat etc, ensure you're having as much sex as possible around this time. You can make sure you're a healthy weight, and that both yourself and your partner do not smoke or take recreational drugs. Get a check up by your GP to make sure there are no other issues, and if possible, get a progesterone blood test 7 days after when you think you've ovulated to ensure you are ovulating. Purchase Ovulation Predictor Kids (similar to pregnancy tests in that you wee on a stick) and see if you're ovulating. Visit sites like www.essentialbaby.com.au which are a wealth of knowledge (forums are fantastic) for further advice. Good Luck!

Okay, first of all, relax. Sex isn't supposed to be all about thinking of conceiving. What you really should do is have sex one time, every other day so that the sperm count is abundant and you're more prone to getting pregnant. Also, ovulation usually lasts about 24-48 hours, so you're bound to have sex during ovulation and conceiving a wonderful child. Have fun with sex, and do not let yourself become stressed about having a child because it will happen exactly when the time is right. Good luck to you and I'll say a prayer for you.

Nicole, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Ask your husband to abstain from sex from the day of menstruation to 12 day. Then have sex for four consecutive days. The posture should be such that the seminal fluid remains inside you. If you husband's ejaculate contains more than 60 million sperms per cc and if most of them are motile then one of them will ascend to fertilize the egg.Your cycle should also be regular. You should not be overweight and diabetic.
