my book makes no sense

exocytosis is when the cell gets rid of the wastes in it. exo means out , cytosis is of the cell part

like when a vesicle fuses with the pm and expells all its contents out of the cell. BLAH!

I believe that it might be it all lipid based. or are there some accesory proteins like clathrins? Probaly somehow it knows where to go. If not just to get rid of waste, I think I just read on here how islet cells release insuin in this manner.

The cellular secretion of macromolecules by the fusion of vesicles with the plasma membrane.

secretion means-a functionally specialised substance (especially one that is not a waste) released from a gland or cell

vesicles are-A closed membrane shell, derived from membranes either by a physiological process (budding) or mechanically by sonication.
