Can someone please describe the historic Cherokee indian tribe's environment?

The Tsalagi(Cherokee Indians) lived off the land. Food, clothing, shelter, medicine, all were derived from nature. The Tsalagi's society was a matriarchy, based on the mother's lineage. The Tsalagi trace their roots back more than a thousand years. Originally, we were thought to be from around the Great Lakes area.
Today, much of modern medicine is derived from the barks, herbs, and plants handed down through the matriarchy of the original seven clans or families. Males marry outside their clan and live with their wife's clan.
The Tsalagi lived in large square houses of logs with bark roofs and used stone tools and wove baskets from plant fibers, and raised maize(corn) and beans and squash. They hunted deer, bear and elk and used the skins as clothing, among other uses.
During the infamous Trail of Tears, we(the Tsalagi holdouts) were separated from loved ones that were sent to Oklahoma where they were forced onto reservations. I am descended from the ones that hid in the hills of Tennessee and North Carolina, and refused to surrender to the Federal Government.

Cherokee's or what they call them selves (Aniyvnwiya)" the real people"
used to reside in all of Kentucky, Tennessee, northern Alabama,
northern Georgia,west north Carolina,west of Virginia,
west-West Virginia.
They were a friendly nation. made up of 7 clans which were
the "Wolf Clan" they were hunters,they would hunt in packs
like wolves to kill their prey.
" Deer Clan" hunted deer.
" Bird Clan" they were fond of birds and often had captive
crows and hawks. and renowned for use of snares and
blowguns in hunting.
"Red Paint Clan" they were conjurers and medicine men
"Blue Clan" they would gather a bluish plant from the swamps
for food and medicine.
"Wild Potato Clan" they gathered wild potatoes
"Long Hair Clan" they were known for their jewelery
and hair styles.

i'm a Cherokee doll but we live on reservations and we dont live in tents anymore the reservations have tax free food, cigarrettes,
clothing ,and gambling casino's but i dont live on it anymore it has great housing right on the reservation
