He has been charged with failing to file income tax returns and conspiring to defraud the Internal Revenue Service, the agency said Tuesday.
The story's moving out of Florida, and the St. Petersburg Times has more. It reports that Snipes, 44, and two other men are charged with filing "a fraudulent claim for payment to the IRS." They allegedly filed an amended return for Snipes, "saying he was owed the return of almost $12 million in income taxes," the Times reports.
