You are stranded, and help is on its way, but they will be two more days. By then you will be dead from dehydration. You have to choices to get water into your system.... drink your own urine, or a drink from a puddle of sewer water from one of the gutters. It doesnt rain, and there is nothing in site for hundreds of miles. It is a deserted town. Which do you choose?

I know how to distill pee and gutter water to obtain a refreshing taste of real water...so it's not a problem, both work just fine, after all I have nothing but time on my hands!! They will find me dead alright, but not from dehydration!! Everyone should learn how to do this...it could save your life!!

Well...if it's a deserted town then no one is around to create waste that dumps into the sewer...so although that water won't be clean...it's not a nasty as one might think. So I think I'll go with the sewer puddle.

Drink your urine coz the other water will kill you. Stay under shade all day & don't move too much. converse your energy. If you have any plastic or metal items, hang them on a tree branch or over the open ground, drink the dew that collect on them at dawn time.

Drink urine. I could die doing that, too, but in some ways it would be cleaner than sewer water.

This is Obvious.......... urine. Urine (contrary to popular belief)
is very clean... although its not recommended, compared to no water or sewage water, which is filled with bacteria, viruses, parasites, diseases not yet discovered, urine is the best choice.
Also..... everyone... If you had to consume bodily fluids and waste, in what order would you list them.........

sweat

fecal matter (poop)

usually, when one says that one is stranded, one usually means stranded in an island. There are lots of other ways to get water in an island. But if I have to choose, I will wait for the help. If I die before help comes, so be it.
