I need help on a research assignment and I just wanted to know if anyone has had anything special happen to them? PLEASE help me with my research?

i am 16 and my dad just baught me a brand new toyota tacoma the way i wanted it. He told me if i could play the entire "welcome to the jungle by guns n roses" solo on guitar he would buy me what ever car i want. It took me about 2 years to get the solo down. he told me that before i even had a guitar to play so thats all ive been playing was that. its pretty awesome. I dont only have a car, now i have the thought that i could play a really great guitar solo when ever i want.

I don't know if this is really 'special' but a couple of days ago I called my ex-boyfriend's sister (she is still a friend) but their mother answered the phone. It was the first time I have had any contact with his parents since we split...3 years ago. She was really nice and sounded genuinely happy to talk to me so I guess it was kind of a relief. I don't entirely trust her though because she tried to break us up and she stabbed me in the back (figuratively, of course) when we were together and I'm a bit hurt because they never contacted me in any way after my ex moved out (they have talked to, written and seen my parents though!!). I'm trying really hard (OK not really hard, but a little) to be happy and think that maybe I can be around the ex's parents without being angry or hurt but, I don't know. If I can accomplish that, then I guess the phone call could be considered 'special.'
By the way, my ex-boyfriend and I were together for over 10 years, owned a house together, etc.
