Make Christmas related items and you will probably have more success. Can you paint landscapes? If so,try painting winterscapes on little wooden ornaments like sleds, round discs, snowmen shapes, Christmas tree shapes, etc. By decorating the shapes with a landscape instead of making them look like what they are,you have something unique that will attract many admiring customers. Unique wreaths, such as theme wreaths, may sell well especially if you can find unusual embellishments. For example, the "gumballs" that fall from certain trees can be collected and sprayed gold and glued to a foam ring. For theme wreaths, baby's first Christmas, cooking, tots toys, birds, mittens and stockings or anything you can think of that would appeal to all kinds of people. Handmade Christmas cards would probably sell well. I saw a handmade card display 2 years ago and people were crowded around that table. One of the cutest cards was shaped like a big mitten, the cuff was the hinge and was covered with crimped paper to look like a knit cuff. They covered the front of the mitten with patterned scrapbook paper. You can also "sculpt" country snowmen out of a roll of quilt batting and dress them with felt caps, scarves and mittens and use buttons to embellish, giving them brooms made of sticks and raffia.

There are lots of craft shows this time of year. At a recent show I saw beanie baby bears that a lady had used craft paint, beads, clothes, etc... to decorate. They were selling like crazy. Since I also like to do crafts, I asked the lady about the cost. She said she goes to yard sales, thrift stores, etc... to buy the bears cheaply and that she never spends more than $3-$5 total. Her bears were selling for anywhere from $20-$25 each. Hope this gives you inspiration. Blessings!

I just started making beaded jewelry that I'm hopefully going to sell at a show in a couple of weeks. I love going to the bead stores for ideas and picking up unusual pieces and I've even taken classes there. But I usually buy most of my beads and supplies at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. They have a wonderful selection and great sales.

Well, there are many options. You should make your own magnets, jewellery, files, boxes, wrapping paper and even your own candle!

Magnets:
1. You could get clay from your local art store and mould it in any shape you like.
2. Leave it to dry
3. When it has, paint on some colours to give it life!
4. Make it shine with wax!
5. You could purchase small fridge magnets at affordable prices from your local art store.
6. Put superglue on them and stick them on our magnets, leave it to dry.
7. Now you got your magnet!

Jewellery
1. You could make your own bead by rolling strips of paper into balls and gluing them together, don't forget to leave a hole in the middle, you could try using wrapping paper to customize your beads,
2. String them together and you got yourself a necklace.

Files
1. You could visit artattack.org for ideas on how to make your file.
2. Materials are all very cheap, visit your local art store.

Wrapping paper
1. Choose the type of design you want. You could make stamps and keep stamping on the paper.
2. Or you could fill a bucket with water and paint and place your paper lightly above it just touching the water and the pattern will come out.
3. Could paint on it, colour it. Just make sure you know what customers to appeal to!

Candles
1. Put wax crayons int a pan
2.Malt them over heat. Stir gently.
3.While wax is melting, make a small hold at the bottom of a paper cup.
4.Thread string through.
5. Tie a knot uderneath. String should be long enough to hang your candle to dry.
6. Pour the melted wax into paper cup
7. Hang it up to dry
8. When wax turns dry, snip your string from the top to the bottom and remove the paper cup. Be sure to leave a little bit of stringon top left.

Good luck!

I like to carve candles. You can carve cute little things like teddy bears. I have a friend who likes dragons, so I buy scented candles and carve her dragons. I try to make them look cute so they usually look like gremlins when I'm done.
