It depend's how far gone the pregnancy is. Soon as the egg is fertilised an abortion can be had, but (i think its up to 20 weeks, but not sure) after so long, an abortion can't be had because the fetus is too developed.

P.S Dont listen to people who say it's killing an innocent life. It's your decision to make, not theres. If you feel you can't give the baby the life it deserves, or your just not ready, or whatever, then i suppose thats better than raising a child in a life it would do better without. Don't let small minded fools make you feel guilty because of their beliefs, go with what you want to do. You'll be happier than if your forced into a decision by someone else.
Good Luck either way.

I'm not going to rant about how you shouldn't have an abortion, that is your choice and I don't know your situation (some people who answered seem to think they know)

you can only have an abortion during the first trimester (or the first 3 months). Just keep in mind the effects it will have on your brain and your body like scarring on the uterus which could put a damper on future efforts to become pregnant or the sudden drop in hormonal levels which could cause post-pardon depression.

Many people will suggest adoption, and they will say something similar to " so many people want to have babies and can't", well, in that case, why are there so many children sitting in foster homes and orphanages?

The decision is yours to make, listen to all sides of the pro-life and pro-choice arguments, only you can decide what is best for you, don't let people's comments sink in too deep and keep your chin up.

I wish you the best of luck in your decision!

The first trimester is the best time. You are going to want to get your abortion as soon as possible. The cost is going to be around $500. Planned parenthood works on a sliding scale if you dont have health insurance and they will help you pay for it. They also offer counseling if you are not sure what you want to do. They will support you with knowledge of abortions to prenatel care. Get in as soon as possible. There will be less complications the sooner you go.

i am not sure how much it costs, but you can't legally have an abortion once you are past the first trimester (more than 3 months), unless it is medically necessary. like if the mother's life is in danger or there is something majorly wrong with the baby.

but i wouldn't suggest that anyone get an abortion. there are so many people that want to adopt children these days. It is WRONG to kill a baby.

You can have an abortion any time after finding out your pregnant but they say it is easiest at 8 weeks. Do remeber though this is a major life changing desicion and it is something you will have to live with for the rest of your life.

I believe at any time now. The woman will still be tested at the clinic though just to make sure. Also will be given an ultrasound to see how far along she is. Given counseling to make sure this is really what she wants. I believe the longer she waits the more expensive it will be and also the more pain she will have during the procedure.

Although I believe in everyone having their own choice in this matter and don't mind informing you. I think this decision should be ponder over very extensively. Good luck. This decision either way will stay with you for the rest of your and her life.

I think that you really should think about killing a human being, especially a defenseless baby. If you don't want it, then give it up for an adoption, so many couples in the world want a baby and can't have one. The day a baby is conceived, they are a living being and you have no right to take the life of another human being.
You really ought to see pictures of a fetus from the day it is conceived to the day it is born. Also see pictures of abortion at different stages of the fetus.
If you really don't want it, send me an e-mail and I will take it for you, I have a niece that desperately wants another baby, and she hasn't been able to concieve and she would be more than willing to take it for you.

It all depends in what state you reside. Every state is different but as a coa @ planned parenthood in CT the sate law is up to 18 weeks of pregnancy which equals to 3 months. You can also visit your nearest planned parenthood or visit the website www.ppc.org for rate and state law.
