The pics are special coz they are my grandaughter!Please help,I did a system recovery with F10!

It depends on whether you did a non-destructive or destructive (which is what it sounds like you did) recovery. If it was destructive, in all likelihood they're gone.

There are forensic file recovery programs out there, but the ones that work well after a reformat are very expensive.

Next time, store all your pics online at a site like Flickr, and you won't lose them.

F10 does system recovery, meaning it erases all files. It makes it look like it was when the computer was new, so it looks like you lost all of your files.

What kind of computer is this? Namely the brand/model. What program were you using to organize your photos? When was your last backup?

If you have MS-XP you could try the restore utility and restore to an earlyer date.

try aprogram called search and recovery its made just fr these instances...
