My girlfriend keeps waking up and cannot get a sound night's sleep. Her hot flashes are keeping her from getting needed rest and she is exhausted during her working day. Any suggestions??? Thanks. :)

Depending on her age ... she may be going through menopause. If so, she can have a medication prescribed, for women going through menopause... it's called HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) in the form of Premarin. There was a big uproar about this medication a while back ... saying it may cause blot clots, breast cancer or stroke. What medication doesn't have dangerous side effects?

So, some doctors are reluctant to prescribe HRTs ... but IMO, it should be up to the woman ... if she wants to take the risks or not. Premarin has brought my sis, mother and I a world of relief!!

Progesterone cream can be bought at the drug store. You rub it on the skin according to directions. This hormone is better absorbed through the skin instead of orally. It may take some days for it to start working, but it is very effective and it also helps with other problems of menopause.
