I've always asked this same question. And felt that certain women could keep up with the physical demands and be just as good as any man.
However, think of these few issues:
A single woman in a locker room of all men.
The ideals of the whole team and the problems it could cause, without a unitied team, you have nothing.
Men being away from their wives for so long with no sexual release.

Is it ok if boys want to play on a school's softball team? How about the volleyball team? Maybe at a small school they could play on the girl's basketball team??
The real fact is that MOST girls cannot compete physically with boys. They are no women playing professional baseball because there are none good enough. Trust me, with all the money at stake in MLB if you can help a big league team win games you will get a shot to prove it. Pro baseball teams don't spend millions on travel and scouts and go all over the world looking for players because they are easy to find. I played at a Divison 1 college and I get tired of listening to people tell me how great they were. It seems everybody can throw a baseball 90 miles per hour and hit a ball 500 feet, that just isn't the case. It's not even real easy to throw a baseball 80 mph let alone 90 or like Joel Zumaya 100.....you have to be gifted naturally and work your a** off to nuture your gifts.

It seems like you are asking two questions here. for one thing, I don't know why there are no girls baseball teams. I'm sure there are plenty of girls that would play, and play quite well. Maybe you should try to organize a team or teams. I know I would watch them. However, I don't believe in girls playing on boys baseball teams. Boys play a more aggressive game then girls, and therefore should be kept separate. I don't believe it is sexist, as somebody said above. Being sexist would be not allowing women to play at all. I don't believe in boys playing on girls teams either. For obvious reasons both sexes are different. At a college, which one I won't mention here, they asked the men and women's teams if they would like to play together, or each other. The women said the men are too physical , and they wouldn't be able to keep up with them. And for that very reason the men said they would hold back, as to not injure any of the women.

Why don't you insist - or have your parents stand up with you ?
IF YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH, I can't see how they can stop you - but they make your life unpleasant - they may take the fun out of the game, I'm sorry to say.
Go for it !
