Be lucky you have friends who care whether you are having a lousy day or week or month or year.
If you push your friends away you are telling them you are not friends and when they need you to be there you won't be.
Take their friendship and maybe they can help you to become less negative about your life and you can count them as having at least one blessing in your life. Some people don't even have one person that they can count as a friend.

Yeah, your right. You might as well do them all a favour and go live in a cave ....quietly ....without leaving a forwarding address.
Turn it around. Take your friends shoes and trade places.
Your friend has a 'jolly rotten' life and is miserable, is despondent and wants to go stick their fat head in a bucket of sand.
Ok. So, what do you do? say nothing? Walk away? Leave friend to it? Or do you ask to be - as you put it - 'be let in'?
If friend is a 'friend' or even, 'A Friend,' then the choice is yours as to whether you trust and value the relationship and ALLOW you Friend to get on and do what they are there for in your life.
Anyway, you already know the answer/s to your question. You just want to tees-out the answer from we readers.
So, stop your messing about and do what you ought to be doing.
Good Luck.
Sash.

True friends care about how the state of your life is affecting you, and help you in small ways by making you forget it. That's what they are for ... to help you laugh off the crap and dream about a better future. Friends are more than just a perceived reflection of your status, they are people and they react to personality traits, emotions, opinions, jokes - and they also see someone coping with difficulties and respect that in a person ... true friends don't allow you to be isolated, and don't like it when they feel you are shutting them out. I would.

I'm not sure what you mean. Right now, my life seems absolutely lousy, but I still try to make sure that other people (i.e. friends, family) are okay. It sucks to try to deal with their problems while having my own, but I just can't shut people out.

Friends are people that are by you in good times AND bad...however there is a difference in letting them in to support and comfort you, and pulling them in and drowning them in your misery...
What's uncaring is to shut them out and cause them to feel like you don't think they are worth your friendship or vice versa...fair weather friends aren't worth having...let them be your friends and get as deep in as they choose, and you are comfortable with...

Yes, thats what friends are for. getting eachother through the hard times and having fun when things are good. me and my best friend have been through alot together and have been there for eachother when things where the worst and when things have been the best. its better have someone then go it alone and be off crying when its really bad by yourself.

That's what friends are for. Unless you're ALWAYS the needy one in a friendship, you shouldn't worry about your friends when you're down. You'd do it for them. Most people enjoy helping their friends and family. That's what life is all about.
