Well, normally you should read the safety instuctions on the label before handling any chemical substance, and it would tell you how to clean up in case of a spill.You could neutrilize the acid with a base of some sort.

I HOPE IS NOT SULFURIC ACID BECAUSE IF YOU THROW WATER THEN YOU ARE IN FOR A SURPRISE, FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF ACID AND THEN USE THE NEUTRALIZING AGENT FOR IT.
