I am a young black female and I have dated white men for a long time. It just happens to be my preference.
The taboo of interrracial relationships has decreased since the days of the Jim Crow south, but there are obviously still some disagreements in the matter.
I, personally, haven't been around many people who are ok with interracial relationships.
What are you guys' opinions? I'd love to know them, no matter the response!

Jeanee

I find no problem with it myself. I think love is certainly "color" blind.
People are people regadless of where they were born or what race they were born into.

As for interracial couples, the only ones I've really seen a lot of are the black male/white female couples, so these opinions are specifically about them, because they're really the only ones I've been able to get an opinion about.

When it comes to black male/white female couples, I'd have to say I'm pretty much against it, because I don't think a lot of these relationships are built out of love, but instead are built around the rumor that black men have bigger penises then whites. I've come to this conclusion because the majority of women in these relationships are some of the biggest dumbasses I've ever seen in my life, and are also whores whose only purpose for getting into a relationship is for sex, so a rumor of black men having a bigger penis would interest them.
But, every once in awhile, you'll see a black male/white female couple that actually loves each other, and for those couples, I have no problem with it, but it just seems like most of those couples aren't really in love.

I'd like to think that I'm wrong, and that there's some other reason white women would specifically want to get with a black man, but I don't know what a black man could offer that a white man couldn't other then the rumor of them having bigger penises.

To me, It just kind of seems like how men want to have "hot" women, as if physical features are all that matters, and what's on the inside doesn't matter.

But as for finding out why people actually get in interracial relationships, I have no sources, so my opinion is based off of ignorance and what observations I've made.

This is a good question Jeanee, take care.

I have always believed in interracial relationships. I find it to be normal, and nothing extraordinary about it. I do not understand how some people can be so intolerant and bigoted. You love who you love. Black or white, gay or straight. When you find an original love, a -lasting- love, in life you do not question the package that this gift comes in.

i am in an interracial relationship. i am a white girl and my boyfriend is black. my daughters love him. i have always been attracted to black men, but my mom was always against it. i ended up with a bunch of loser white boys. now i have decided i need to be happy. if i lose friends or family because of it, its there problem. i deserve to be happy. and he makes me happy. everyone is different. we all have different likes and dislikes. i say if they are true friends, they will stick by you whether your man is white or black. its not the color of his skin but how he treats you that matters. i used to live in the new york and now i live in south carolina and i guess its the same no matter where you go. some people are against it, some dont care. i say go for what makes you happy. you deserve it!!! and i cant wait to read others answers to your questions. good luck!!!

I'm a white woman and I have never dated a white guy, darker men of any other race are my preference. I think interracial relationships are great, especially if you have kids together. They always come out looking better, because of a bigger gene pool ratio. This in turn is better for humanity to mix and to keep mixing.

I have no problem with interracial relationships. I have dated men of other races and would have no problem if my son or daughter dated someone of a different race.

It doesn't matter the skin color. What matters is the treatment of the ones you are suppose to love. All races have jerks, criminals, and abusers.

I don't mind interracial relationships. My family is white, and if my daughter came home with a black man I wouldn't care. (as long as he didn't fit a stereotype...same goes for any white boy she brings home!) I would MUCH rather her bring home a black guy and say she was in love, than another woman! EEEK!

you do what makes you two happy. **** the rest of them. most people that still have issues are usually the older crowd, or the young that were taught hate from their parents. racism is a taught hate. kids don't know it till they have someone teach them it. if you find a white guy or hispanic or what ever and you two are happy i say go for it. they all can be unhappy asses on their own. you will still have each other.

Well, who am I to judge? Actually, if I use the bible as the standard, there is nothing wrong with inter-racial marriage. On a personal note, I find women with dark complexions attractive.

Ultimately, I think love, mutual respect, and a strong commitment to stay together are all that really matter in a relationship.

Well, I personnally am ok with interracial relashionships. Although, some people might not be comfortable with the idea, it might be because of their beliefs and values.
