We wore palazzo pants with clunky, platform high-heel shoes and boots. African Americans wore big naturals and whites wore long straight hair. We also had rhinestone decorated bell bottom jeans and jackets, really fancy numbers. We wore peasant blouses. Actually, the fashions from the early part of this decade are a throw-back to the 70's.

first off dear, you need to get caught up on your spelling assignments! in the 70's we wore bell bottom jeans, halter tops, the hair cuts were called "shags" and we wore indian-type necklaces with jade and turquoise and lots of beads. the 70's was the decade of free love, before the advent of AIDS, and showing off the human body was not so taboo. platform shoes were an absolute necessity, as well as suede and leather purses with lots of tassles or frays, much like the typical "indian" or "native american" garb was depicted. but the ultimate outfit for both dudes and chicks was blue jeans and tie dyed shirts and platfiorm shoes for guys, and blue jeans, platform shoes and halter tops (tied at the waist) for the chicks. hope this helped!!! PEACE!

We did not have cell phones or email in the 1970s, so we had more free time to do other things. I was in high school then and we went ice skating, to football games, parties that did not involve drugs, and we earned money babysitting or cleaning homes, to buy things we needed. We did not lock the doors on our cars when we went to the grocery store like we do now. We were friendlier with our neighbors then - and we barbequed on our patios with neighbors. We didn't buy designer clothing. We bought everything we needed at the grocery store or pharmacy -- we weren't running to the mall to get designer eye shadow.

Generally I wore flared jeans, cuban boots and a leather motorcycle jacket.
I rode a motorcycle most of the time & it was good to put on all the full leathers, boots by 'Rossi', full face AGV helmet with a black vizor cruising around on my XS750 Yamaha triple.
Them were the good days, young at heart & fearless.

first in the early 70's we wore hip hugger jeans like the ones today
some of ours were really low
converse tennis shoes and tube socks all the way up to the knee...yikes i shudder at the thought now
late 70's was all about hippy-disco clash
platform shoes with sequins all over them (i still miss mine)
bell bottom pants
leather and fringes were all the rage
much like the clothes today....i remember barefoot sandals
and the strappy sandals that laced all the way up to the knee

Some people wore jeans and t-shirts, and sneakers, just like now.

Some people wore suits and ties, or skirts and heels, just like now (maybe cut different; longer or shorter, or ties cut wider).

Some people wore god-awful polyester stuff, and fluffed-up hair - men and women, both! (watch the original Charlie's Angels), and the rest of us were aghast (horrified and amused), just like now.

NO Punk. NO Goth. Some people were VERY Grunge. Many were VERY Hip-Hop, but no boxers showing. Lots of hippies (sort of like Wiccans, or pre-Wiccans). :-))

YES! Platforms and high, chunky heels were very stylish, and a lot of fun to wear! Wide-leg, baggy jeans or trousers. Some people wore their jeans pencil-thin, tight, and covered with much embroidery, or personal art-work, rather like now.

Some guys thought NOTHING of wearing ruffles, lace, feathers, and other stuff that might be considered WAY beyond Emo, now.

Pretty much the same, but different. :-))

Hope this helps.

Well, I'm trying to decipher your spelling. I think your asking what people wore in the 70's. I was born in 73. I remember Sassoon Jeans, corduroy, and lots of striped shirts.

ok i guess im the only one that was alive so I'll answer, those tacky polyester disco shirts (made popular by John Travolta), wide white belts, huge platform shoes (guys and girls), straight hair was defintely in, and if you couldn't do that then afros. Bellbottoms some, oh and mood rings.
