The rhyme reads
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and cockleshells,
And pretty maids all in a row.

Who thinks poor old Mary might just needs to shave her "garden"?

Check out Mary, Queen of Scots nursery rhymes. Apparently, this nursery rhyme has reference to either "Bloody" Mary Tudor, who reputedly persecuted Protestants or to Mary, Queen of Scots, another less-than-favored iconic personality.

HA! Here's a continuance...

Mary, Mary, pretty little bee,
Maybe grow it this way?
Smooth and sweet as honey,
over the mounds we play.
