It depends. What does the discharge look like? If it is red or or a water-down red color, you should contact your doctor. If it is clear, again you could have broken your water, but at five months this is not likely, but it could be. Any other color you could have an infection and still, you should contact your doctor. Just as important, are you having any discomfort and any odd feelings along with the discharge? If you don't know for sure, it is ALWAYS best to contact your doctor and rule anything out. IF you don't, because you believe you may be looked at as a person who calls "false alarm" I say call anyway. If you are having problems it is better to have called and nothing be wrong than not to have called and have more problems later. Call your doctor. Best Wishes.

Yes it's completly normal..., when I was pregnant I began spotting at 6 months that's when you've got to start worrying. As for the discharge you're fine trust me. Don't be scared, your body goes through alot of changes during a pregnancy. Don't fret just enjoy being pregnant and planning for your new edition!!!

you will have more discharge while you are pregnant because your body has more water in it. this is normal. it was during my pregnancy that i started wearing pantyliners everyday. i would use up to three a day.
don't worry about it unless it has blood in it, has a bad smell, or is greenish in color. it is normal to bleed a little after you have sex or after a pelvic exam. but call your OB to be safe. if your discharge has a bad smell or funny color you could have an infection. this happened to me so i called the doc, she said to go to the ER. it wasn't serious, but it is better to be safe than sorry. and you can never be too safe while you are pregnant.

Yea, I think it is fairly normal. I have expereinced something similiar with both of my pregnancies. I dont think it is anything to worry about. I found the farther along I got, the more there was. If there is a real excess, like you have huge gobs of it then for sure, go check with your doctor. There might be an infection or something.
Good luck

It is normal to get discharge when pregnant, but it sounds like you have a small infection, probably thrush. I wouldn't be worried, just go see your doctor and they should be able to tell you what it is, and give you some anti-biotics (that wont harm the baby) to clear it up. Good luck!

It sounds like Bacterial Vaginosis, which can happen at anytime especially during pregnancy. It has nothing to do with an STD or with being unclean just the hormonal changes that are effecting your body. I would call your OB and be checked as soon as possible.

If it is a "thing" as in its not just a glob, it may in fact be your mucus plug, which usually does not come out until you are in the early stages of labor.
I would make a doctors appt for tomorrow and have them check you.
Are you cramping at all? If so, I would go to the emergency room.
Its better to know - than to sit there and freak out.
Good Luck.

What kind of discharge? There are some fairly normal discharges associated with pregnancies. You should contact your doctor if it has an odor, is very fluid, or if is has a strange color.

It is normal to have discharge when your pregnant.
I had it when i was pregnant but it turned out i had a bacterial infection. I think it would be wise to let your OB know to rule out infection.
