we have spirit week in my school and i dont know what to wear for retro 80s day.?

im a sophmore in high school and i want to know what would good for someone my age to wear for retro 80s day

im a sophomore and we had 80's day for homecoming spirit week too. a lot of girls wore leggings and min skirts and they some wore leg warmers, oversized sweatshirts, crazy makeup, etc. a bunch of people raided they parent's old clothes in the closet. someone even wore bright blue metallic spandex leggings w/ a huge padded jean jacket

I believe that the administrator means retro mid eighties. In 1981-2
the fashion take was almost all high boot, and tight jeans. Then the
curtain came down on jeans, and underdressed peeps, so the following
was a return to velvet, satin, silks, and many frivolous fabric cuts. Any
generally lite formal photo right choices will work. Suede cloth was new,
and in testing that is jumpsuits like velour, though easy on the hats.

ok, you need to tight roll your jeans, if you don't know what that is ask your mom she can tell you.

then get a HUGE t-shirt and tie a knot in it off to one side

scrunch your socks up around your pants where you tight rolled them,,,,,if you have pink or blue or green that would do great

next...........put your hair in a pony tail off to one side with at least three different scrunchies then give your bangs a big tease......best way to get big bangs is to divide them into a top layer and a bottom layer..............take the top layer in your curling iron and roll back toward your head and spray a touch of hair spray on them.............take the bottom layer and roll down toward your forhead......careful not to burn yourself........again just a touch of spray there too.

then you want to take your pick and tease it out. it will create a big poof on top and a slightly smaller one on bottom with a hole n the center, if you have a big hole tease it some more.

then get some bright blue or pink eyeshadow and there you go. you are a perfect example of a chick from the 80's.

You could wear a denim skirt with the footless tights that are in right now... with a big shirt - something bright or even neon would be great! Or you could wear a tank top with a fishnet top over that (think 80s Madonna). Don't forget to pouf up your hair and put a big ol' bow right on top of your head! :) Have fun, and good luck!

You should wear leggings. If you watch a movie like Pretty in Pink or Sixteen Candles, you will get a good idea of what was popular in the 80s.
