The best way to have every vote counted this election term is to request paper ballots. The Republicans came up with the HAVA ACT to force municipalities to purchase new electronic machines. They claimed the old machines didn't work but this wasn't true. The real goal was to have rigged machines.

No one should trust the electronic machines because they don't give a receipt, like every similar machine (ATM's) do. If an ATM can give a receipt of the transaction so should voting machines.

Why don't they give receipts? So that the people who own them can control how things are counted.

If you demand receipts from your bank, then demand that the governments give back those faulty machines. Many municipalities have already.

This year, write to your governor to request Emergency Paper Ballots. Also ask for an EXIT poll so that every voter can say who they voted for after they leave. Keep a tally in order to know the truth about who won. Keep the Republicans away from the polling places as the count is being taken. Remember, that some people will do anything to win, but the vote is the last vestige of Democracy left in America. Many of the other Constitutiional Protections have already been undermined by new laws pushed by the Bush Administration. America is on the brink of becoming a totalitarian regime.

Write to your Governor Today.

Having election day on saturday would be a nice start. Automatic registration when you pay your taxes would be another.
