I changed out my hard drive because it was acting up. I didn't get the chance to install my palm software on my new hdrive as yet. Then my palm batterry died and I lost everything. I still have the old hardrive on my computer, but i do not know how to sync and back up my old info to my palm t-3 from the old harddrive (which is still connected, but no longer primary). I am thinking that all i need is the location of the file folder, but i don't know what to do or where to start. Please help.

Thanks alot

x:\Program Files\Palm\userid\Backup is it, in a typical scenario where a PDA had battery fully gone, all that has to do is plug the PDA as HotSync as usual and upon sensing a pristine clean PDA the computer will prompt restoration by HotSync ID; it happened to me few times since TCPMP on a T3 the "turning power manager off" tweaking actually turns that manager off and let T3's battery running to the deep end of 0%.

What you can do is to install the Palm Desktop as usual, overwrite the entire newly installed Desktop by a copy of the old Desktop installation on the old drive. Then HotSync.

I learnt to avoid HotSync/ActiveSync and back up the files to a memory card, faster, easier and foolproof.
