We have some beautiful woodland meadows that are full of tiny purple and yellow wild flowers. In Alaska, there is a wild flower called Fire Weed. It is a crimson/purple color and stands very tall. You can make jelly out of it and it is delicious. Finally, in our deserts, there are cactuses covered in sharp spines that have wonderful, large yellow and red flowers that suddenly appear on their "arms".

In the suburbs, hydrangeas are really popular. They are flowering plants that grow as either bushes or small trees, and they have clusters of many inch-wide flowers that go into a ball or bouquet shape. The colors range from pinks, blues, purples, reds, to whites.
We also have dandelions, which are yellow flowering weeds that have many thin petals. They're everywhere.
I'm not really educated about flowers, so that's the best I can give you.

Heavens! Way, way too many to describe! We have every imaginable color on climbing, low-growing, tall, thin, bushy, spindly, indoor or outdoor plants! Depending on the season, one can see multitudes of dogwood trees and tulips, roses and multi-hued annuals such as zinnias and impatiens, or fall-foliage hued chrysanthemums and marygolds. Winter brings bright hollyberries, pyracanthas, and pansies. And this is just in my region! It's a glorious, joyous, never-ending display of God's paintbrush!
