Okay...i am all for females gettin their rights

yay feminism

but lately, they have been asking for too much...

firstly, u are asking for equality, right?
Sure, fine, take it... but....

if you guys are equal to males, then we can punch you without having excess punishment..

if a girl punches a guy, apparently, its self defense
if a guy punches a girl, then its rape?!!?!?

WHATS UP WITH THAT?!?!

And also, for example, in fitness testing in the high schools...
why is it for GIRLS, they have to run it in 9 minutes, where the BOYS have to run it in 7:30???????

Does that really make sense... i mean, if u girls wanna be equal, then u should have to run the mile in 7:30, just like every other guy on the planet, and shouldn't have "equal rights with privileges", cause we are people all the same

comments and arguements are welcome, the best evidence or arguement will get the 10 points

You are wrong when you say when a girl punches a guy it is self defense, if she throws the first punch she can be charged with assault the same as if the guy did.

It isn't rape unless you rape her, and women can be brought up on charges for sexual harassment in the workplace just like guys can. Just to clarify some of your points, when it comes to violence the sex that threw the first punch is irrelevant, and zero tolerance is zero tolerance.

Have you ever heard of a handicap? This is why the boys because they are usually taller and have longer strides are given 7:30 minutes to complete a mile while females who are usually smaller and not as strong get the extra 1:30 minutes more than you. But usually schools will segregate males from females in track and field, as well as contact sports, meaning there is girl hockey and guy hockey. For the same reasons also there are different weight classes in wrestling and boxing to give everyone a fair advantage.

We want to be equal as far as the right to participate in such sports that is play hockey, touch football and so on.

We want equal rights when it comes to getting paid the same wage for work of equal value, that sort of thing, doesn't mean we want you to become less of gentlemen though like some would have you believe because we do like that in males also doesn't mean we have to give up our femininety for it.

Maybe you are too young to remember that we had to fight for the right to vote and that was just in the last century, so women have come a long way, and men's views are slowly changing.

I think that sporting rules have little to do with equal rights for women per say. It is just common sense like a handicap given to golfers and such.

Okay, I believe women should be treated equally, however, certain things are to be respected. Firstly, no one should hit another human being. It just isn't right. Also, if you think about it, most guys are much taller and weigh more than a female, so (and I'm not saying females can't do any damage) they can hurt someone much smaller than them worse than a smaller person can hurt them. Secondly, the fitness tests are made the way they are because that is based on how well each gender does. Thirdly, I think what a lot of women want is to be treated fairly in their careers. Is it fair that a woman can do the same amount of work as a guy, but get paid less? Or that women can be passed up for a job because they have a family or want to have a family? In the end, everyone deserves to be treated equally, but the extremists end up hurting the cause.

I`m sorry but I dont agree that men should be able to hit women. As for the fitness test women should be allowed to do the same as men. Shoot some girls I know could out run the guys with no problem. They do it in sport events like the Olympics all the time. Check out over all times in relationship to distance you might be surprised at their times.

I was an employer in the '70s.. I met my minority requirements by hiring women. If I was on the 4th floor of a burning building.. and hurt.. Will that woman firefighter be able to pack me out of there? For sure I am not anti-woman. But do believe each gender has it's place. I flew on an airlines and the pilot was a Gal.. did not bother me a bit. But when they start bitchn about not having the "right" to be a linebacker for the Bears.. That's to much!!

Equal treatment under the law does not mean males and females are equal physically -- anymore than equal rights for you and the guy next to you means he's allowed to be a jockey even though he is 6'6".

When you do your woman a favor and give birth to her child for her, you can talk about how men and women have to be treated the same physically.

(By the way -- under the law, if you hit a woman, it is assault, not rape. And if she hit's you, it is also assault. Many woman are prosecuted fro assaulting men. But you are right that there is some difference in the way society thinks about it -- though one reason is that there are many many more men that hit women, and hurt them, than vice versa.)

First of all punching a girl isn't rape unless you are doing it to have sex with her without her permission.

Now on the rest of your question. Not all of us females are feminist radicals. You have radicals in every group. Your have religious radicals, homosexual radicals, racial radicals, etc.. Don't take out your anger on the entire group just because of a few stupid people.
Girls in school have different times because our bodies are physically different. This is recognized medically, and that is why there are differences in physical tests.
No group should have 'special' privileges unless you a handicap in some way.

I hope this helps.

I know I'm a female, but another thing that I get a good laugh about is that when girls lay there heads on each other and gives hugs have slumber parties where they sleep in 1 bed, it's normal. But when boys do it, it means their gay! And also girls can be tomboys if they wish. But boys cant be tomgirls, unless they want to be GAY! Wah ha ha that's hilarious!! Ü

I am a female who totally agrees with you. the same goes for all minorities though. whether we are male, female, black, white, hispanic, gay, or straight, we all feel like we need special treatment, yet still want to be considered equal to everyone else.
