Some Dems. say we have lost the war.
But what we see in the media is not the Iraq war,but two religious groups wanting to kill each other: and they want to drive our troops away so they can get at each other.

Now that they have found they can cover fear w/ moral objections, will they ever again be willing to stand up to our enemies?

JUDY---how do you propose you will help those soldiers from low income families?
Will you give their enemy the kind of propaganda he needs to destroy those U.S. soldiers?

Why do you feel the country is so divided? No! No one wants people to die. Most Democrats are middle and lower income people. Those are the ones who have sons going to war and fighting in this war. Rich people don't go to fight in wars.
Most soldiers are from lower income families. They are my friends and neighbors and they see their son came home without his legs and some of his friends has no arms. Do you believe his parents who are Democrats want this? If you believe this then you Republicans are as radical as those Islamic terriorists.
They were hoping that the people who ran a plane into the World Trade Center were stopped from hurting any more people.
3000 people died in that terrible diaster and the country both partys supported the president. They enlisted to stop the terriorist agression. Those young Democrats gave their all some even their life. How dare you say that! What have you given to stop the terriorist agression?
How dare you suggest that anyone wants this war to continue.
Now I have a question for you young Republicans. How will you know when this war is won? What constitutes a win?
Keeping two religious fractions of muslims from killing each other?

We ARE losing the war, where have you been?
I'm an Independent. I usually vote Repub but honestly, you all are making it really hard to see my way to doing that this time around.
Damn, would just one of you take some fricking responsibility? I'd love to hear something - anything - but the lot of you blaming the last Administration and the current Democrats for the mess that this Administration has created. You're in the majority right now, but if you keep up this garbage you can hand both the House and the Senate over to the "dreaded" Democrats after November (They've got my vote already, and I didn't make up my mind until last week). Do something - anything - but for the love of God stop trying to paint every Democrat as a terrorist loving coward. It's tired, it doesn't play anymore, and it's pathetic, not to mention just not true.

You know what ScubaDog? Bring it on, I am so sick of the blind leading the ignorant it's hard to know what to say to people like you. Maybe you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend we've got things under control in Iraq, but I prefer to live in the real world. Supporting your country doesn't mean pretending thing are all okay when they clearly aren't. It means addressing what's clearly not working and finding another way. Criticizing this Administration's lack of planning and foresight doesn't mean I don't support our troops. I support our troops every inch of the way, as does every American, INCLUDING Democrats and Independents like myself, whether you like it or not. Do you just ignore the numbers of dead and injured we hear about EVERY DAY and the Iraqi people acknowledging civil war is upon the area? Apparently not, it's easier for you to blindly believe we must be winning simply because we're Americans. Give me a f_cking break.

Technically, I am a liberal. However I tend to vote democrat 90% of the time. NO, losing the war means more of our troops dying, more losses that cannot be brought back. That type of collateral damage, even for a party coup, would be unacceptable. The Democrats know this, hence their "let's fix what we can and then get out, before it's too late" platform.
P.S. Are you out fighting this war? How dare you deem to accuse liberals of cowardice, when there are many liberals out fighting a war they don't want, but YOU do. Just as there are many types of people in America--so too in it's military. My husband is soon to deploy, but his status as a soldier only makes my stand against this immoral war even stronger. I don' t want my husband, lover, friend, and father of my children to die for a war that was based on greed.

I hate to answer this but is it really a war? And for your information, we lost it from the very beginning. You and your legislators have not learned from the Vietnam crisis. That was another waste of time and forgotten American soldiers. This administration has put a damper on American spirit. People like you stick up for the wrong way of life, and then pry on whomever will listen to you.

Democrats usually go for helping humanity as a priority. They usually opt for diplomacy and although they tried to convince this government to go for diplomacy, the Republicans decided to go to war instead. Republicans offered lies and faulty justification to Americans and the Democrats supported the war 100%. Now everyone knows the truth and the Republicans need to leave.
Democrats need to be back in office to do what they do best -- keep the world out of war. It is evident that war has failed the world and the Republican "our way or the highway" has destroyed the American economy, many lives an, and our standing in the eyes of the world.
Get the Republicans out of office and allow them to regroup and get new party members. Everyone has given them every chance they requested and now it's time to take the country back.

As the Generals are saying, and we all should have known from the start, the war can't be won. No one wins this one. The problem is, what do we do now that we have made such a mess of it? Our young men wasted, 500,000+ Iraqis dead, and in and around Iraq most everyone is angry with us, what's next? "Stay the course?"

I think they do in a way. But you say war, I say minor conflict that the U.S. brought upon themselves. There were about 10 different ways of going about Iraq and terror and we chose the most violent and less efficient of the 10. None of those options were put on the table.
But I don't think dems want anyone to die, of course, that is what happens when you goto war cocky.

Yes, more than 50 percent of voters want us to lose the war in Iraq. Look out your window. You just insulted more than 1/2 of the people you see.
What we really want is for people to recognize that Republicans got us into this war, and pass judgement on them.
