Offically the top-rated recent romantic movie is the Notebook, but depending on if you like super-romantic or something with comedy, I'd suggest some other over-looked flicks:
Pride and Prejudice: absolutely amazing in my opinon, very romantic and well-directed.
How to lose a guy in 10 days: Great concept, very funny, and of course, the fall-in-love-happily-ever-after ending.
Ghost: a classic and a oldie, but always a good one!

Here are some of my favorite romantic/romantic comedy movies....Fools Rush In, Wimbeldon, A Walk In the Clouds, While You Were Sleeping, Sleepless in Seattle, Just Like Heaven, Sweet Home Alabama..Thats a few I can think of right off hand. Hope that helps!

While it was a lot of different things, I think the movie that got to me most in the romance department was "Moulin Rouge" with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. That part of the ending is just a knockout.
