First of all, have it appraised by a jeweler. They normally don't charge anything at all for that.
Another thing is that sometimes it is very hard to get a good photo of a ring with a jewel in it. You might try your scanner. Put the ring on your finger, and hold your hand over the scanner.
Then, do a search as though you are looking to buy the item you are selling. That will give you a very good idea about how much you are going to get for your ring. If you don't like what you see, you might consider listing the ring in the local newspaper instead.
Start with an amount as an opening bid that you think you would HOPE for, if you were buying the ring on eBay. But on something this expensive, you should have a Reserve price, to avoid ending up selling it for much less than you should.
The other option is to have it made into a nice necklace. Jewelers are very good at that. Then you still have the value, but you will get more use from it.
If you really need the money, though-- go for it !!

Why would you want to sell your wedding ring??? Yeah, you might get quite a bit for a good ring, but if you were a person looking at eBay, would you want to buy a used ring??? There are better ways to get money. Selling something as personal as a wedding ring isn't a good idea, unless you are separated and hated the guy from day 1...
