If it's looking reddish or pinkish, then the makeup probably doesn't match your skin tone. Look at your face and see whether you have yellow undertones or pink undertones and any other color. Pick a foundation suiting that color.

Does your makeup go on looking reddish or does it turn more reddish the longer you wear it?

If it looks great when you put it on but turns red or orange throughout your day, your makeup is probably oxidizing. This comes from using a product with a mineral oil base.

Find a make up line that doesn't use mineral oils. Mineral make up is different and is a good alternative. Just look out for mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin or other similar ingredients on your ingredients list.

The company I am a consultant for makes a great mineral oil free makeup line. Bare Escentuals is also good, but requires more layers of application. Check out either, or both, I think you will like the results much better.

Makeup usually has either a pink or golden base tone to it. If your makeup is looking too reddish on you, you probably need one with a slightly more golden tone. L'Oreal makes a line called True Match which offers the same basic shades in either a pinkish or goldeny hue. That might be a good place for you to start your search for a better makeup.

use neutral colour make-up thatb is a very light shade of brown that is like u know light linen for blush and if you are fair skinned apply lipstick using ur fingertip and apply some clear shine lipgloss
If u have a medium tone then use the same type of blush and use a light reddish-pinkish lipstick(use ur fingertips to apply it) and go over the lipstick with clear shine lipgloss

and to really stop it from lookin reddish s by applying a second layer of lighter make up :)

theres a great powder from physicians natrual that evens out skin tones, it comes in different colors on a little palatte in a powder dome. just apply a foundation and put the powder over it, it'll even out the tones and help set your make up down as well.
