I just recently changed pills to Triphasil and since taking the first active pill I have been really bloated (up a dress size). I can not let go of the gas at work as I work in a small office. Does anyone know what will help (besides laxatives). It is really embarrassing.

You may be experiencing a side effect of this drug consult your pharmacist or go online to read up about it, consult your physician besides letting them rip there is nothing else to give you comfort. It is after all a normal function of the human body.

I would just go and talk to your doctor and see if they will put you on a different pill, or perhaps the mini pill, which has a lot less side effects.

Good Luck

Ask your doctor if you can take water pills to eliviate the water retention.

The bloating is water. Not gas. Gas is from whatever you are eating.

talk iwth your doctor. s/he may have some suggestions to minimize the side effect and may suggest a prescription change. Many hormones cause water retention, so this is not unusual.

talk to your doctor?
stop taking the pills?
find some other pill?
learn how to hold in your gas?
