science...since science also talks about the particular 'discusting' parts of the body, how are they formed by their parents, and such...these things are very inappropriate for young children

Of course! They're never too young to start learning math and/or science. Just don't expect a 3 year old to do long division...
I know from experience that little kids LOVE interactive science stuff. Does your town have a Science Centre or a Museum with an interactive display? Anything they can participate in or looks cool will be great.

Depends on the activity. But if the activity is geared towards the child's age then math and science are excellent things for children to learn.

Absolutely!! Just like the previous answer, as long as it is age-appropriate, and is something in which they show a genuine interest, then it is a wonderful idea.
Examples: Use food for statistics and proportions; buy a book on food science and play in the kitchen...learn how to cook and about science at the same time. The activities are endless...just make sure they are fun :)

Why would it be inappropriate? You have to teach younger children manipulatives (using cubes to count, ect.) and you teach them science by filling the tube for their bath and showing them that soap sinks and boats float. Sometimes you can do something without realizing that you are teaching them. Take your child on a nature walk. The leaves are changing. Talk about the colors of the leaves and what kind of leaf it is. Tell them why moss grows in a certain spot on the nature walk. Point out to your child to count how many yellow cars you have passed on your outing. There is so much to learn and just doing little things will heighten your child's horizons. Be blessed.

No, they both can be appropriately taught to young children. Something as simple as planting seeds and talking about the things needed to grow (water, sunlight) is science. Having children figure out how many more plates they need to get for the table is math.
