Check out that 70's show. Everything was wide and or flare.
Flare bottom jeans, hip hugger jeans, wide collar shirts, silky shirts, wide ties, polyester, plaid. Guys wore tight jeans, not baggy, rock band tee shirts, vests, corduroy, converse, Army Jackets, Bandanna's, beaded chokers, Big hoop earrings and bangle bracelets, Jumpsuits, wooden Candies shoes, Denim purses, Clogs, Hakkapoo shirts and faded glory jeans, wrap around skirts, wedge heel shoes, Velvet!!, Tube socks and tube tops, Terry Cloth, Concert softball jersey's, Smith's overall jeans, smiley faces!!, OOH LA LA Sasson jeans and You had the Jordache look, Peasant skirts, pro keds and Puma's, Mood rings, moon boots and mini skirts (PLAID, PLAID, PLAID!!), midi-skirts, maxi dresses and Macrame. Marijuana leaf Tee's, Hi rise, Hi top and High waisted, Halter tops, handkerchief tops and Headbands. Hot pants and go-go boots.
Hope this brings back memories for those who remember.

Bell bottom pants...........lots of leisure suits....colorful print shirts for men....."midrif" tops for girls along with sheath dresses, big hair and tall go-go boots...big hair, false eyelashes...platform shoes (men & women).....gosh, what a wonderful era! Check out the classic pic "Saturday Night Fever".....you'll get a good idea!

Princess skirts with inset waistbands were a feature of dresses around 1975. Waistcoat variations were also very fashionable that year too. Very simple easy jersey knit fabrics were used to create flowing jackets.
trouser suit looking things.
flared pants. (not jeans allowed for women at work)
dresses were simple little up down stuff

Its called polyester and they wore a **** ton of it! Bell bottoms, tye dyes, cords, people were just "Free" so whatever felt comfortable to them!
