Cure? I've tried the fingernail polish thing. Preventive: Avon Skin So Soft Lotion before venturing into chigger land. Apply to entire body and you will NOT be bothered by those pesky little devils.

clear nail polish over the red bumps. And next time, a little sulfer powder in an old sock smacked against your legs will keep 'em off.

I used to use fingernail polish,I would get it from the girls in my unit(the nail polish) while I was in the ARMY.Also get garlic tablets and take them regularly before you go to the field.
This will keep them from biting you and it works good for ticks too!

i would know about chiggers i have tryed the nailpolish thing and it doesnt work because they dont live in ur skin i would use iche cream

Our Drill Sgts. told us to buy bug spray for them during Basic Training. Same thing when I was deployed to Iraq... except there also Mosquitoes that carried deadly blood-borne viruses too... that's why we had to have Mosquito nets over our bunks when I was in Tikrit.
