you are supposed to make the 5y alone so first subtract a 3x from both sides so it will become 5y= 7-3x. then divide by 5 so it becomes y=7/5 -3x/5. you can also reduce it lower but I think if you leave it like that its also fine. learn to do it yourself is the only way to do.

depends on what the problem tells you to do. To put it in y=mx+b form:
1. Subtract 3x from both sides
2. divide both sides by 5
3. Switch -3x and +7
You get: y= -3/5x+7/5

add 3x+5y=8xy=7
then divide 7 by 8
which in decimal form is .875
