this is one of the greates novels in englidh lit. will not summarize for you. however will clarify minor characters. The Lucas',three: Sir William, Charlotte and Maria. Sir William is the widowed father of Charlotte and Maria, he has been knighted for his business savvy, no doubt he was in trade. This is a source of mirth to the sisters of Mr. Darcy's great friend. (read the novel) . Charlotte, Lizzie's best friend accept es Mr. Collins' proposal of marriage after she has declined his offer. Charlotte does not love him, he is pompous and intellectually limited, a potential earnest social climber, but is ineffectual at that as well. Charlotte is aware of all his considerable failings and yet accepts him with the famous explanation to a stunned Lizzie "I am not romantically inclined, all I ask if for is a comfortable house and a Mr. Collins is a decent man". Mr. Collins is the Bennetts' cousin, he is a pastor to the imperious Lady Catherine DeBerge and as the Bennett family has failed to produce a male heir their property and manor house will pass to Mr. Collins, primogeniture, incontestable. Read the novel it is a masterpiece . feminist exultation aside, (and disregard) one of the finest English novels, still speaks to social status/choices of our day. I hope I have helped

It has been a long time but if I remember right Mr. Collins is a distant relative and will inherit the farm when the dad dies. He first liked the oldest sister but when he found out she like that rich dude he moved onto the main character. He's very nerdy and is the biggest brown noser. The lucas's I forget who they are.

The main idea of the story I would say is both Pride and Prejudice. The main character saw Mr Darcy as too proud and prejudice against everyone win all along it was her who was too proud and prejudice of him. She kept almost trying to find flaws in him, because she expected them to be there. In the end she saw how she was acting and ( I hope I am not ruining it for you ) they get together.

The Lucases are the Bennett's friends. Mr. Collins is their cousin who is going to inherit Mr. Bennett's money. Mr. Collins proposes to Elizabeth but he is a total nerd so she turns him down. Mr. Collins then marries Charlotte Lucas, Elizabeth's best friend.

Comment: By the way this is one of my favorite books. I really can't believe that in high school I read the Cliffs Notes rather than the actual book. Do yourself a favor and read it -- it's good!

OK, so back to your question. The book is about Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth being too proud to admit they like each other and too prejudiced on first impressions. At first she hates him, he proposes but in a terrible way. She turns him down. Then she realizes she loves him but its too late. Ultimately they get together. There's also a lot of misunderstandings along the way involving other people. Very funny story and a good love story.

the Lucases are cousins i think of the Bennets. Mr. Colllins is the guy who will inherit the fortune.

The main point of the book is to show how pride and prejudice both hinder the growth of love.

In the novel, elizabeth and darcy both showed how they could be too prideful and prejudice against each other. Thus, resulting to a long and hard love affair. In the end, they realize their mistakes and live happily ever after.

i think of it is so shifting first, using obtrusive: he would not care approximately her rank or the quantity of money she has because of the fact he's wiling to pass that line regardless. 2nd, it is in all probability because of the fact it is a love/hate relationship and readers won't be able to seem to get sufficient of those. to your different question... properly, i think of that she makes use of those characters to coach the two Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy that they actually could no longer be with everybody else. additionally, it form of feels that the extra human beings attempt to deter their relationship, or basically attempt to chop up them aside... the closer they seem to advance. it form of feels they comprehend by using being around those people who neither can settle for something under one yet another. i do no longer comprehend if you bought the respond you're searching for... i'm in basic terms a freshman in intense college who study the e book 3 years in the past so this in all probability ability no longer something.
